Restored

A video installation by Victor Burgin

The plan for transforming derelict St Luke's church into LSO St Luke's included a commission for a new art work. Just as the architects Levitt Bernstein Associates have integrated Baroque architectural forms into a twenty-first century building design, so the artist Victor Burgin has worked eighteenth century forms into a digital video piece.

He has assimilated his work Restored to the architecture of St Luke's by projecting the video images into a circular window aperture high in the south-west staircase. Burgin has described Restored as a 'video ornament'.

To view the installation either attend one of the public events taking place at LSO St Luke's or book a special appointment.
